Navisht-e-Shorish — نوشت شورش — is the literary editorial arm of The Shorish movement. It is not just a magazine. It is a declaration. A refusal to allow literature to become ornamental.

Awareness is the noise of an eternal revolution.

We believe literature, in every age, has been a direct witness to the pains of that age. By publishing work that bears witness to the social issues that make us uncomfortable, we are building a record — of both the problems and the silence or noise of the living.

Each issue is built around a theme — a central tension, a question power refuses to answer. We accept prose, poetry, and critical essays in both Urdu and English.

The archive remains free. The magazine is non-profit and non-commercial. It exists because the written word has not yet exhausted its capacity to unsettle power.
